Sea Bangor 2024

Saturday 1st June and Sunday 2nd June

The Sea Bangor festival will mark the 80th Anniversary of The D-Day Landing with a 1940s-themed programme on Saturday 1 June (12noon – 6pm) and Sunday 2 June (1pm-6pm). This celebration of the City of Bangor’s maritime heritage returns to the seafront with nautical fun on and off the water!

Free Entertainment and Activities


The Eisenhower Pier and car par will be alive with food and drink stalls, Music (1940's themed), walkabout entertainment and loads of fun and activities for all ages.

Over the weekend, Bangor Harbour will host a range of activities and entertainment on and off the water

Sea Bangor City Passport 2024

For Lots of family fun & entertainment around the city centre

If you are planning to join the passport fun on Saturday 1 June in Bangor, make sure you pick up your Sea Bangor Passport from 11am – 5pm to enjoy the buzz at 14 locations around the city centre.

Passports will be available from 11am at Bangor Visitor Information Centre, Quay Street, the Visitor Information Caravan at the entrance to the event site or in any of the participating businesses - *check individual store timings below*

Then bring your completed passport to Bangor Visitor Information Centre, 34 Quay Street, BT20 5ED to claim your prize on Saturday 1 June until 5pm.

Row, row, row your boat…support local teams as they engage in a bit of friendly rivalry at Sea Bangor Festival’s popular annual Rowing Competition. 

Military Teams Compete

Sunday 2 June | 1.15pm -3.30pm 

Come along and cheer on the military teams as they compete for the cup!

E Foiling Demonstrations

Viewing along the Eisenhower Pier 2.45pm and 5.10pm 

E-Foiling uses an electric powered surfboard on a hydrofoil wing which lifts almost a metre out of the water. Come along and watch E-Foiling demos throughout the weekend.


Soda Popz | The sensational Soda Popz, featuring Bangor singers Michelle Baird and Adam Dougal plus local musicians, bring their high energy, nostalgic Rock'n'Roll show to the seafront this June, offering an authentic tribute to some fabulous favourites.

Leading Ladies Trio | Northern Ireland’s Premier Vocal Harmony Trio. Award-winning singers, Michelle Baird, Ceara Grehan and Lynne McAllister have performed across the UK and Ireland as The Leading Ladies for twenty years. Their unique harmony arrangements will bring you a nostalgic programme of vintage swing and 1940s classic songs.

Craft Fair at The Old Market House, Main Street Bangor 
Saturday (12noon – 6pm) and Sunday (1pm – 6pm)

Browse and buy at the two-day craft fair showcasing a range of producers. There will be Giant games within The Old Market House, some fun for all the family.

Sea Bangor 2024 coincides with the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings and as part of the commemorations you are invited to join the crew of the Ocean Crest on a curated trip around Bangor Bay.

Sea Bangor 2024: Rib Blast 

Only £5 per person

A fast blast on a 9 seater Rigid Inflatable Boat. Each trip will last approx. 30 minutes on board. Hold onto your hat, for a thrill ride you won’t forget. Prepare for a bit of splashing (or a lot if the weather is poor) and a lot of laughs!
